The Performed Culture Approach combines language and culture closely,and enables learners to learn language through body-performing activities in the target culture,so as to enable learners to use the target language correctly and appropriately in a specific situation.This kind of teaching method is helpful for students to understand the target language culture ideologically,to feel the culture in their own place,to help learners to construct the world outlook of Chinese culture,and to strengthen their awareness of cross-cultural communication,to enhance learners’ intercultural communicative competence.The author has designed the teaching according to The Performed Culture Approach,and has carried out a practice of the teaching design.Using SPSS to make statistics and analysis of the students’ Listening and physical performance,record the students’ physical performance in class and evaluate it.The results show that The Performed Culture Approach is helpful to the improvement of students’ listening and speaking ability,and also to the cultivation of students’ language self-confidence.This paper is divided into four parts.Chapter Ⅰ introduction.This paper introduces the reasons for the selection of topics and research significance,research status,research content and research methodsChapter Ⅱ is the summary and applicability analysis of The Performed Culture Approach.First,it introduces the connotation,teaching principle,course model,five elements of physical performance,course operation and evaluation standard of The Performed Culture Approach,then from the elementary Chinese listening and speaking class objective needs,the body of the comparative advantage of cultural teaching method and the learner’s subjective will for three aspects of applicability analysis.Chapter Ⅲ is the general design of listening and speaking course of elementary Chinese teaching based on The Performed Culture Approach.First,it analyzes the teaching object,teaching principle,teaching goal and other related factors,and then introduces the teaching operation flow of theory and practice under the guidance of The Performed Culture Approach.At last,the teaching flow of Do you like Chinese food or western food is explained in detail.Chapter IV teaching evaluation and reflection.This paper makes a data analysis and evaluation of the students’ Listening and performance,and further evaluates the effect of the performance through the analysis of classroom cases.
