| In the process of English learning,writing is not only one of the four skills,but also an important type of examination in junior high school.However,in the traditional writing teaching classroom,the teaching mode is single and the atmosphere is dull,which will lead to the fact that students’ writing interest is not high and the writing level is low.In order to improve the present situation of junior high school students’ English writing,this study based on the National English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition),tries to apply Multimodal teaching mode to English writing teaching through the use of hearing,touch,vision and other modes.The research questions of this study are listed as follows:Question 1: What is the influence of Multimodal teaching mode on students’ English writing interest in junior high school?Question 2: What is the impact of Multimodal teaching mode on students’ English writing strategy in junior high school?Question 3: To what extent does Multimodal teaching mode affect students’ English writing achievement in junior high school?The subjects of this study are 108 students in two parallel classes in the eighth grade of a junior high school.The experiment lasts for one semester.Students are divided into experimental class(EC)and control class(CC).The EC(54 students)adopts Multiomodal teaching mode in English writing teaching and the CC(54 students)applies traditional English writing teaching method.The teacher and textbook in both classes are same.This empirical research is conducted by instruments of questionnaire,test and interview,and uses SPSS 19.0 to analyze the data effectively.The experimental results show that Multimodal teaching mode can enhance students’ writing interest and strategy.Meanwhile,the writing test results show that,to a large extent,the writing achievement of the EC is significantly improved.Therefore,Multimodal teaching mode has a positive impact on improving English writing teaching in junior high school,and it is feasible and effective in English writing teaching in junior high school. |
