| Nowadays,the increasing society needs Chinese people to master English skills.And English writing,as an output behavior of English skills,is one of the methods to test the level of English skills of learners.But for high school students who grew up in a native Chinese environment,English writing has a certain difficulty.One of the reasons is that the traditional teaching emphasis writing template,less attention to the text structure,paragraph cohesion,text type and so on.And boring teaching process causes the lose of students’ interests in English writing.So how to choose effective teaching methods in writing,and use the charm of lessons to attract students,realize the goal of education? It is a worthy of our actively explore and deal with.Reading to writing,as a method to improve students’ writing ability,has been studied and applied by most scholars.However,with the development of society,language teaching has become increasingly diversified.Teachers should improve students’ ability to recognize multimedia discourse.What’s more,after the release of the new course standard and education department stressed to deepen the interpretation of multimedia material.Multimedia teaching method as a teaching process using a variety of means to mobilize the learner cooperation of sensory,can stimulate the learners’ enthusiasm and initiative better than traditional monolingual interpretation,and it make up for the deficiency of the traditional single model teaching method.Based on the above thinking,the author apply a teaching method,which combines multimedia with reading to writing in the English writing teaching class of a high school from Hei Longjiang Province,to explore whether the teaching model can improve the effectiveness of the students’ interest in English writing and writing ability.The author selected 126 students as the research object,and divided into experimental class and control class.Questionnaire,interview and test were used to carry out a three-month teaching experiment,and analyze the experimental results.In the teaching process,the experimental class adopted the teaching model of multimedia combining reading to writing,and the other under the traditional teaching method.The research found that,the application of this teaching method can improve students’ interest and change their attitude towards writing,instead of treating writing as an exam-oriented attitude or as a teacher’s task.Secondly,students can master effective learning methods and knowledge in the reading input,and apply it to the writing with effective output.The author concluded that reading to writing under multimedia teaching method can improve students’ interest in English writing,writing ability and students’ English skills.At the same time,the author hope it can provide some reference and enlightenment for the future of English writing teaching research. |
