| Passacaglia:Secret of Wind and Birds is the product of the composer presenting the form of new music and“experimental" artistic expression,and also the characteristic expression of this era.In this work,Tan Dun constructs a multi-cultural bridge between tradition and modernity,east and west,nature and technology,primitive and future.Therefore,from the perspective of modern composition technique theory and music text,Dun Tan’s inheritance and new attempt of the ancient Passacaglia genre,thus promoting the revival and variation of Passacaglia genre,and its aesthetic implication and genre value in the contemporary context are explored in this paper.Second,from the perspective of deconstruction,Dun Tan breaks the traditional structural concept and aesthetic of "deconstruction" with closed structure,and explores the changeable,diverse and pluralistic characteristics of the organizational structure of Passacaglia,which is also one of the contents to be explored in this paper.Finally,through clarifying Tan Dun’s "organic","avant-garde"and "local" image expression,the understanding of Chinese contemporary music is further deepened from the perspectives of new works,new sound,new techniques and new ideas,and its aesthetic ideas based on the postmodern context are explored.This paper is divided into five chapters.Chapter I is the introduction.Relevant domestic and foreign literature on Passacaglia,Tan Dun,deconstruction and multimedia are sorted out and integrated to clarify the research perspectives of existing literature.After the analysis of their research status,the purpose of this research is defined,and the possibilities derived from them and the key problems to be solved are explored.In Chapter Ⅱ,the origin and development of the ancient polyphonic style Passacaglia are mainly involved,and the new style of Passacaglia in the 20th century is explored from the perspective of genre and technique revival.In Chapters Ⅲ and Ⅳ,a case study of the musical text of Tan Dun’s work Passacaglia:Secret of Wind and Birds is conducted mainly by means of map demonstration method,audio listening distinguishing method and comparative study method.In Chapter III,focusing on the "retro" techniques of Passacaglia’s genre,the structure of the whole work is analyzed from the perspective of "eternal fixed theme form,traditional structural principles and counterpoint technique,so as to clarify the inheritance of this work to Passacaglia’s genre form.In the fourth chapter,focusing on the innovation of the Passacaglia genre,the composer’s artistic expression of different Passacaglia features in the current social and cultural context is explored from three perspectives:the linear derivation of thematic form,the counterpoint of multi-level structural elements,and the principle of partial "open" structure between tradition and openness.In Chapter V,based on the detailed analysis of the Passacaglia genre and Secret of Wind and Birds in the previous text,the image expression in Tan Dun’s works in the post-modern context is explored from the musical text back to the aesthetic level,and the aesthetic implication of the trans-regional,trans-cultural and trans-century rebirth of the Passacaglia genre is discussed from the perspective of"reviewing the tradition and facing the future". |
