| Using Gile’s scoring model as the standard,this article focuses on the impact of remembering terminologies through the establishment of a knowledge system on the quality of simultaneous interpretation.Students from China Foreign Affairs University are invited to conduct a empirical research with the main variables under control.This report explores the impact of two different ways of memorizing terminology on the quality of simultaneous interpretation in highly professional field,which is a field that is less involved.In the theoretical part,this report summarizes the studies on the impact of pre-interpretation preparation on the quality of interpreting both at home and abroad,synthesizes the major interpreting quality evaluation standards of ancient and modern China and foreign countries,and chooses the interpreting quality evaluation standards to be used in the evaluation of experimental results.In the main body of the report,a term-dense text is selected as the experimental material,and 12 MTI students from our school are invited to participate in the experiment in two groups to compare and analyze the the impact of the two different pre-interpreting preparation modes on their output.Experimental results show that memorizing terms in pre-interpreting preparations through the establishment of a knowledge system does have a certain impact on the final output of simultaneous interpretation,which plays a certain auxiliary role.However,different situations needs to be analyzed in detail.Through the preliminary establishment of a knowledge system in a short period of time,memorizing terminologies is not the best choice in all cases. |
