| The sentence is the smallest unit of verbal communication, which is of great significance to social interaction and communication.Verb-Object predicate sentences are the most commonly used sentence patterns for Chinese typical developing(TD)children in preschool. Therefore the intervention of Verb-Object predicate sentences’ expressive ability is indispensable for children with language disorder.VO predicate sentences can be categorized into four types: actional sentences, perceptual sentences, relational sentences and stative sentences. However, there are lack of systematic researches on the acquisition of different types of VO predicate sentences by typical developing children in preschool and children with language disorder. In clinical practice, the arrangement of sentences’ intervention content was mostly based on the rehabilitation experience of Speech-Language Pathologists and lacked scientific theories support. And the intervention methods were scattered and lacked of systematization. The study explored the expressive characteristics of VO predicate sentences in TD preschooler and children with language disorder.Based on the results of characteristic research,a VO predicate-sentences intervention course was designed and verified in individualized intervention and group intervention.1.A study on the development of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences in TD children45 3-5-year-old TD children,15 in each age group, were selected to participate in the test of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences. The results showed:(1)The expressive ability of 3-5-year-old children was significantly lower than that of4-year-old children(P = 0.011 < 0.05),while that of 4-year-old children was significantly lower than that of 5-year-old children(P = 0.001 < 0.01).(2)The difficulty of stative sentences was significantly higher than that of actional sentences, perceptual sentences and relational sentences(P<0.001,P<0.001,P<0.001),but the difference between stative sentences and the other three types of VO predicate sentences decreased with age.2.A study on the characteristics of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences in children with language disorders15 TD children,15 children with developmental delay, and 15 children with ASD,who matched the PPVT-R scores were selected to participate in the test of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences. The results showed:(1)When the PPVT-R scores were matched, children with developmental delay(P=0.009<0.01)and children with ASD(P=0.010<0.05)had significantly lower expressive ability of VO predicate sentences than TD children, however the difference of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences between children with developmental delay and children with ASD was not statistically significant(P=0.642>0.05).(2)The trajectory of different types of VO predicate sentences acquired by children with developmental delay or ASD was similar to that of TD children.Stative sentences were significantly more difficult than action sentences, perceptual sentences and relational sentences(P<0.001,P<0.001,P<0.001).The difficulty difference between the latter three types of sentences was not statistically significant.(3)The expressive ability of VO predicate sentences was highly positively correlated with the PPVT-R score in children with ASD(r=0.894,P<0.001);while the expressive ability of VO predicate sentences was moderately positively correlated with the PPVT-R score in children with developmental delay(r=0.052,P=0.047<0.05);(4)When expressing predicate sentences, the most common type of errors by children with developmental delay or ASD was the incomplete composition, the next were the incorrect use of words and using their own sentence patterns, children with developmental delay or ASD were easily to use their own sentence patterns instead of target sentence patterns when stative sentences were produced. And it was difficult for children with ASD to call themselves "me".In addition, children with ASD tended to appear nonverbal response and irrelevant language.Redundant components and improper word order appear rarely in children’s expression of VO predicate sentences.3.A study on the intervention of expressive ability of VO predicate sentences in children with language disorderCombining with the developmental laws and characteristics of children’s VO predicate sentences,an intervention course of VO predicate sentences was designed, including training content for 16 lessons, the training strategies of "experience-comprehensionexpression-application" and corresponding training methods. The course was used to conduct individualized intervention for 4 children with language disorders, and the expressive scores of the children’s VO predicate sentences increased by 17.5~23.75%;group intervention was carried out for 3 children with language disorder, and the children’s expressive scores of VO predicate sentences increased by16.25%~28.75%.The study verified the effectiveness of the VO predicate sentence intervention course by improving the expression ability of VO predicate sentences in individualized intervention and group intervention. The significance and innovations of this study are as follows:(1)analyzing the rules and characteristics of different types of VO predicate sentences acquired by TD preschooler and children with language disorders, enriching the theoretical research results of children’s acquisition of VO predicate sentences;(2)an intervention course of VO predicate sentences for children with language disorder was designed, and the effectiveness was verified in individual intervention and group intervention, which provided direct and effective guidance for clinical intervention. |
