| Canadian writer Alice Munro occupies an important position in the field of contemporary English literature creation,especially after she won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2013,which attracted wide attention in the academic circle.In the process of his creation,Munro integrated his pesonal life concept and values into his literary works.She is good at writing aboutwomen’slives,especially the pain that women suffer in their lives.Therefore,Munro pays attention to the violence that women encounter in marriage,culture and society and tries to explore the deep causes behind this phenomenon.From the perspective of violence theory and text analysis,this paper analyzes the forms and causes of violence in Munro’sshort stories.This paper consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces Munro’slife and creation,the current research situation at home and abroad,the reason,significance,research perspective and framework of the topic selection.The second part discusses the marital violence in Munro’s novels,and analyzes the specific presentation of marital violence in Munro’snovels and the reasons behind it.The third part mainly discusses the cultural violence in Munro’snovels,and analyzes the specific presentation of the cultural violence in Munro’s novels and the reasons behind it.The fourth part discusses the social violence in Munro’snovels,and analyzes the concrete presentation of social violence in Munro’snovels and the reasons behind it.The fifth part is the conclusion of the full text,which further puts forward the significance of Munro’sviolence writing,analyzes the uniqueness of Munro’sviolence writing,and analyzes her concern for the survival of women under violence,which gives us enlightenment and thinking in real life and literature research. |
