| Classroom lead-in is an important part of classroom teaching,which occupies an important position in classroom teaching.The implementation of lead-in activities has a direct impact on classroom teaching,and the role played by teachers in the lead-in process also counts a lot in classroom teaching.Relevant literature reveals that the research combing the lead-in part and teacher role in junior middle school high-quality English class is relatively rare.Therefore,this study focuses on the situation of classroom lead-in,the use of lead-in methods and the teacher roles played in lead-in activities in junior middle school high-quality English class competition,with the hope to provide a reference for the design of lead-in activities in normal English class in junior middle school.Based on Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Constructivism,with 32 videos of the 13th National Junior Middle School High-quality English Class Observation Competition as the research subjects and by means of classroom observation,script analysis and case analysis,this study explores three issues:(1)What are the methods mainly used in the lead-in of junior middle school high-quality English classes?(2)What are the roles of teachers reflected in the lead-in of junior middle school high-quality English classes? And(3)How are the lead-in methods,the teacher roles and the class types in high-quality English classes of junior middle school are related?Results showed that: Firstly,in the lead-in of junior middle school high-quality English classes,various lead-in methods in classroom lead-in are applied according to different class types,topics and lead-in activities.The lead-in methods used include suspense method,direct method,graphic method,video method,revision method,situation method,question method,free talk method,song method,game method,and background knowledge method.Among them,question lead-in method,background knowledge lead-in method,free talk lead-in method and graphic lead-in method are used most frequently.Secondly,in the lead-in of junior middle school high-quality English classes,the teacher roles are multiple.Teachers can appropriately position their roles according to the specific situation of lead-in.The roles of teachers reflected in the lead-in of high-quality English classes include designer,promoter,organizer,participant,controller,guide,prompter and source of information.Moreover,the role of teachers as organizer,promoter and guide is particularly prominent.Thirdly,the lead-in methods,the teacher roles and the class types are closely related.In different class types,teachers use different lead-in methods and play different roles according to different teaching materials.According to the research results,this paper puts forward some corresponding pedagogical suggestions for the design and implementation of classroom lead-in activities in junior middle school English normal classes. |
