| The Qing Dynasty was an autocratic centralized dynasty established by the ethnic minority of Manchu. At the beginning of its establishment,it adhered to the policy of "The Manchus have the highest priority".In the period of Kangyongqian dynasty, there appeared three kinds of Han concubines who came from different family background in the imperial palace, such as the Han military flag, the coating of the internal affairs office, and the common folk nationality. The appearance of Han concubines not only showed that the rulers of the Qing Dynasty attached importance to the coalesce of Manchu and Han,but also broke the boundary of opposition between Manchu and Han in the past. The study of the Han concubines in the Kangyongqian period is conducive to understanding the process of the integration of Manchu and Han in the Qing Dynasty and exploring the transformation of the ruling mode in the Qing Dynasty. This paper takes the Han concubines in the period of Kangyongqian as the research object, and clarifies the origin, group characteristics, family and offspring of the Han concubines from several aspects, such as the situation of the Han concubines before the Kangxi Dynasty, the source of the Han concubines in the period of Kangyongqian, and the harem situation of the Han concubines. The conclusion is as follows: before the Qing Dynasty entered the customs, the concubines of Taizu Nurhachi and Huangtaiji were mainly from the tribes of Jurchen and Mongolia, hoping to achieve the purpose of conquests through marriage. After the Qing Dynasty entering the custom,in order to win over the Han officials and meet the political needs of the rulers,Emperor Shunzhi appointed the Han women to the palace as concubines. The composition of the concubines then gradually changed. In the period of Kangyongqian, there were not only concubines of Han who came from the north but also concubines from south of the Yangtze River who entered the palace through hidden palaces or other unknown ways. This was not only the deepening of the integration of Manchu and Han,but also the product of royal politics. In order to maintain national characteristics, the Qing Dynasty always adhered to the ancestral motto of “The Manchus have the highest priority",so the concubines of the Han were appendage of the Manchu and Mongol produced by this policy, which also affected the development of their families and their descendants.Although a few of Han concubines were able to break through the limitations of their family background by their personal charisma and offspring, then they were treated with dignity and honor.Generally speaking, the concubines of the Han in the period of Kangyongqian not only strengthened the blood fusion of the Manchu and Han,but also promoted the development of the unified multi-ethnic country. |
