| This report is an in-depth study of the interpretation based on the interpreting conducted by the author at the Sino-Dutch Symposium on African Swine Fever and Biosecurity.The task lasts about two hours,with the material revolving around the field of animal husbandry and biotechnology,which puts forward high requirements on the author’s interpreting competence,knowledge reserve and psychological quality.This report is mainly divided into four parts.Chapter 1 is about the introduction of the task,including the background,characteristics and requirements of the task.Chapter 2is detailed,which includes advance preparation,description of the interpreting task and the performance evaluation.In chapter 3,the author uses examples to deeply analyze the problems encountered in the practice,the interpreting strategies she used,and put forward the solutions.The fourth chapter is the author’s conclusion and reflection on this interpreting practice.The author hopes that through the analysis of the gains and losses in this practice,she can have a better understanding of her problems in interpretation,figure out the solutions to the problems,which is of great guiding significance for the future interpretation practice.The significance of this report is that the detailed analysis of the interpreting practice lays a solid foundation for the author,providing relevant materials for interpretation research on the livestock industry in the future,and contributes to help improve the professional and comprehensive quality of English interpreters. |
