| Alexander Isayevich Solzhenitsyn is a famous contemporary Russian writer and the 1970 Nobel Prize in Literature.He was the first to break through the forbidden areas of ideology and literature,and created the Soviet "labor camp literature",opening the floodgates for the emergence of a large number of exposing literature on the same subject,and also contributing to the democratization of the Soviet Union.This article attempts to explain and interpret Solzhenitsyn’s unique and ingenious creative techniques in his book "The First Circle" from the perspective of defamiliarization theory."Defamiliarization" is one of the core and most important concepts of Russian formalism.Its representative,Shklovsky,put forward in his programmatic declaration-"The Resurrection of Words".The main thrust of the theory of defamiliarization is emphasized.The aesthetic characteristics of artistic language have aroused a strong response from the academic circles.The thesis is divided into four parts: introduction,main text,conclusion and references.In the introduction,we elaborated on related issues such as the source of the topic and the significance of the research,the review of domestic and foreign research,and the innovations.The main text is divided into four chapters: The full text is guided by the theory of defamiliarization.Chapter One outlines the definitions of defamiliarization,and explains the origin of defamiliarization and how to realize it in literary works.The second chapter analyzes the defamiliarization characteristics of "The First Circle" in terms of self-made new words,idioms and the application of multiple languages from the language aspect,and gives examples one by one.Solzhenitsyn uses a variety of rhetorical techniques such as metaphor,repetition,irony,etc.in "The First Circle".Therefore,Chapter three will start with rhetoric and discuss the art of defamiliarization in his works.The fourth chapter will analyze the content of "The First Circle" from the narrative aspect based on the defamiliarization theory,such as Solzhenitsyn’s clever use of narrative time and space and narrative perspective.This thesis uses Solzhenitsyn’s "The First Circle" as the research text,and uses the defamiliarization theory as the framework to interpret the effect of defamiliarization and its meaning through close reading of the text.It is not only adding new research results to the defamiliarization theory,but also a supplement to the domestic research on Solzhenitsyn. |
