| Traditional inlaid porcelain craft is an intangible cultural heritage of China,whose history can be traced back to as early as the Wanli years of the Ming Dynasty and flourished in the Qing Dynasty.It is widely distributed in Chaoshan area of Guangdong province,Minnan area of Fujian province and Taiwan province;and influenced to Thailand,Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries.Traditional inlaid porcelain is mainly decorated in ancestral halls,temples,residential roofs,ridge,walls,etc.,with great decorative function and edification.Because of its unique location and visual requirements,it has created many formal characteristics of traditional inlaid porcelain sculpture.This paper aims to give a comprehensive account of traditional inlaid porcelain sculpture,combining documentary analysis,comparative analysis and fieldwork to clarify the name,history,distribution,use,subject matter and function of traditional inlaid porcelain,and summarize the content and aesthetic characteristics of traditional inlaid porcelain sculpture: and summarize the formal characteristics of traditional inlaid porcelain sculpture from the perspective of fine arts and theories related to stylistic form analysis;After that,the inheritance of traditional inlaid porcelain sculpture is described,the new characteristics and reasons of the inheritance process are summarized,and the shortcomings of the inheritance are discovered;the new ways of using inlaid porcelain in contemporary hands,including domestic and foreign artists,are combined to explore the state and innovation of the development of inlaid porcelain sculpture in new contexts and spatial environments. |
