A Comparative Study Of Cultural Factors In Practical Chinese Textbook And Experiencing Chinese

The cultural factors in teaching Chinese as a foreign language are not to be ignored,while teaching materials are the most direct embodiment of language and cultural factors.There are many Chinese textbooks used in Thailand.This paper selects two sets of Chinese textbooks which are commonly used in Thai middle schools for comparative study,namely,experience Chinese(Thai version)published by higher education press,Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand,Thailand General Chamber of Commerce and satellite distance education foundation Cheng "to analyze the cultural factors in the teaching materials can help Thai learners to acquire Chinese better.The cultural factors in the Chinese textbook "experience Chinese" and "Practical Chinese course" in Thailand high school are analyzed in the following three aspects: first,the cultural factors are defined and classified,and the number of knowledge and cultural items and communication cultural items in the two textbooks and their respective proportion will be counted;secondly,the paper will analyze the following three aspects: first,the number of knowledge and cultural items and the proportion of communication cultural items in the two textbooks;second,the paper will analyze the following three aspects: text,practice,diagram The paper studies the presentation of cultural factors in the teaching materials in film,notes and cultural tips,discusses the characteristics of cultural factors selection;thirdly,questionnaire survey and interview on the users’ opinions on cultural factors compilation are conducted,and the results are analyzed statistically;finally,the rationality of cultural factors selection and compilation in the "experience Chinese" and "Practical Chinese course" are analyzed The existing problems are combined with the user’s opinions.The research finds that: there are four main problems in the compilation of the cultural factors of practical Chinese tutorial: some cultural factors are not close to reality,some cultural factors are not interesting enough,cultural selection is not up to date,and there is no way to present pictures.The cultural factors of experiencing Chinese mainly have four problems in the compilation: cultural selection is not advancing with the times,the introduction of deep cultural connotation is not enough,the contrast between Chinese and Thai culture is lack,and the amount of practice for culture is lack.And put forward corresponding concrete modification suggestions for these problems.
