| Function words are the main means of expressing grammatical meaning in Chinese. As one of the important function words, the conjunction “er” has complex and changeable grammatical meanings.Based on the previous research results of the ontology of “er”,this article summarizes the three meanings recognized by the mainstream, namely, the relationship of juxtaposition, inheritance, and transition. And narrow down the range of “er” connecting units, and only consider the case of“er” connecting sentence units.Based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University and the global interlanguage corpus, this paper uses data statistics and data analysis to compare the correct use of the corpus of Chinese learners whose mother tongue is English and Vietnamese, and finds that the mother tongue is English for Chinese learning. The Chinese learners who use the term “er” which means the parallel relationship are the most used, and the Chinese learners whose mother tongue is Vietnamese use the term “er” which means the inheritance relationship the most. Then the error analysis and comparative analysis of its error situation were carried out,and three types of errors were summarized: “misuse”,“incorrect addition” and “missing”,and found that in the process of acquiring “er”,the mother tongue is Chinese learners of English are most prone to misuse, and Chinese learners whose mother tongue is Vietnamese are most prone to omissions. Finally, the reasons for the errors of the two different native language types of Chinese learners are analyzed, and it is concluded that Chinese learners whose mother tongue is English are more susceptible to the negative transfer of their mother tongue when acquiring “er”,and Chinese learners whose mother tongue is Vietnamese are more likely to be affected by the negative transfer of their mother tongue. It is more susceptible to the generalization of the target language rules.Aiming at the reasons for its errors,it puts forward appropriate teaching suggestions from the two aspects of textbook compilation and classroom teaching. |
