China is a country composed of many ethnic groups. In the long-term historical development process, all ethnic groups develop freely, blend with each other, and interact with each other, and jointly create the glorious historical civilization of the Chinese nation.During the Qing Dynasty, the pattern of China’s multi-ethnic country has been formed.Due to the influence of many factors such as history and natural environment, there are great differences in the mode of production, economic level and social development among all ethnic groups, but the fundamental interests are interrelated, objectively developing and consolidating the unity of the Chinese nation. In modern times, the imperialist invasion and the anti imperialist struggle of the Chinese nation made the Chinese nation experience a process from freedom to consciousness. In this process,as an integral part of the Chinese nation, the Mongolian People’s awareness of the Chinese national community was gradually awakened, and their identification with the Chinese national community was gradually formed under the background of the construction of the modern nation-state.Therefore,in the process of discussion, this paper mainly from the following two aspects: on the one hand, discusses the evolution of national identity consciousness of Inner Mongolia people on the basis of Dynasty national identity.First of all,it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional ethnic concept in the process of constructing the modern nation-state,and summarizes the background of the construction of the modern nation-state with the modern ideological change as the main line.Secondly,it analyzes the awakening of national identity consciousness from the anti imperialism and anti feudalism struggle of the army and people in Inner Mongolia. Finally, the paper analyzes the non-governmental communication between Inner Mongolia and Han,which is produced by the economic and social transformation of Inner Mongolia,as an element to promote the awakening of national identity consciousness. On the other hand, through the comparison between the "autonomy" movement carried out by the princes of Inner Mongolia and the policy of regional ethnic autonomy of the Communist Party of China,it shows the importance and necessity of unifying the particularity of ethnic development and ethnic integration in the process of building a unified multi-ethnic country.
