Public art is easy to get people’s attention and hot discussion because it is presented in public space and pursues publicity.It is easy to cause a multi opinion conflict when the public,artists,the government and the capital involved in the same public art affairs but have different views.Public artists and project sponsors are usually worried about such conflicts and try their best to avoid.Through this research,the author intends to provide artists with a richer perspective in carrying out public art projects,and help them have a more objective attitude in the face of negative comments or opposition from the public.In this paper,the development of western public art in the course of multi participants because of public art project opinions collision event as the theme.This paper mainly through literature collection,case study,inductive analysis and other methods to carry out research.After analyzing the typical cases of the public,artists,government and capital,it is found that the emergence of such events will indeed cause damage to the rights and freedom of a certain group to a certain extent.However,the overall development of public art will not be negatively affected by these events.On the contrary,the public will pay more attention to these conflicts.These conflicts are not born at the same time with public art,but gradually appear with the development of public art and society,especially in contemporary western society.Through further research on the internal logic of opinion collision events,the author believes that these seemingly fierce multi-party opinion conflicts not only show the vigorous vitality of public art.At the same time,it also has a positive impact on the protection and progress of artistic rights and interests of various public groups.It is in these constant conflicts of opinions that the sharing spirit of public art is better displayed.The existence of these multi-party conflicts of opinions is one of the most intuitive embodiment of publicity.
