In the Wei and Jin dynasties,note was the subject of recording strange stories.In the Song Dynasty,it became the informal essay.It paid special attention to the authenticity of the content and contained a lot of historical data on the circulation and the issuance policy of paper currency in Song Dynasty.It can be used as the reliable evidence on the study of Song Dynasty paper currency.However,due to the chaotic nature of the note,it is not easy to find and use the related historical materials scattered in the notes.This article records the historical data scattered in the notes,and compares them with the historical data on paper currency in the historical record of Song Dynasty.This article enriches the original research materials and reveals the important philological and historical value of the notes for the study of the Song Dynasty banknote history.Specifically,the first chapter of this article takes the notes in "The Note of Song Dynasty" as the object,records the relevant historical materials in the order of the catalogue,and sorts out the version,description and specific historical materials of the notes.The second chapter discusses the two pairs of contradictions between the number of coins in circulation and the number of coins required for social development,as well as the heavy and costly coin and the easy availability of paper currency to clarify the reasons for the emergence of paper currency.It also discusses the academic value of the notes from the Song Dynasty on the currency issues and the collection of historical notes on paper currency.The third chapter refers to the history records of the main paper currency forms in the Song dynasty,compares and analyzes the historical data both in the history books and in the notes,finds the similarities and differences,and distinguishes the right and wrong.In the process of compilation and comparison,it is found that the historical materials contained in the notes of the Song Dynasty are similar to those recorded in the relevant historical books of the Song Dynasty.As for this question,the author examined the dates,determined the order,and investigated the copying and quotation problems.The historical materials may be similar but there are subtle differences which should be examined carefully to determine the authenticity,so as to achieve the purpose of making up for the lack of historical records.This paper aims to combine the literature of notes with the study of the paper currency of the Song Dynasty,trying to build a bridge between the two so that researchers can retrieve and use relevant historical materials in the notes of the Song Dynasty.
