Research On The Artistic Treatment And Epoch Implication Of The Mixed Chorus Tattoo

As an ancient art form,chorus has a history of nearly one hundred years since it was introduced into China from the west.Chorus is not only a form of multi-voice singing,but also a way to show the spiritual and cultural life of human society.Throughout the development of choral art in various countries all around the world,it can be seen that although China’s choral art is an up-rising,with the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous improvement of Chinese people’s living standards,China’s choral art is developing at the rapidest speed.With the continuous development of choral art,Chinese choral artists have opened their horizon to the international stage,and the original choral works can no longer meet the aesthetic needs of people now.If China’s choral art was in the stage of exploring "singing voice" previously,the current choral art in China is on the road to pursue for "singing culture".In recent years,based on the language culture of minority ethnic groups,the composer Liu Xiaogeng creates a unique way to render these ancient voice a new and fresh feeling,which is not only acclaimed in the domestic chorus industry,but also honored with many excellent achievements in the international chorus competitions by the choral works of Liu Xiaogeng,which is singing out China’s voice in the international arena.The mixed chorus Tattoo,a representative work of composer Liu Xiaogeng,won the champion of the World Choir Games in 2019.Based on the culture type of Dai ethic group,and combined with the western modern composition techniques,Tattoo is a rare piece of good work.In the paper,it focuses on studying the artistic processing of mixed chorus Tattoo.The study is carried out in the three parts:understanding the contents of the work is the premise of studying its art processing;therefore,in Part I,the study is carried out from the work itself,including the following five aspects,i.e.the author’s profile,creation background,version introduction,artistic characteristics,and content introduction.In Part II,the study focuses on the art processing of the work,including the following seven aspects,i.e.horizontal and vertical layout and processing,training and processing of intonation and rhythm,change and processing of speed and strength,selection and training of tone while singing,formation and chorus movement design,selection and usage of musical instruments for accompaniment,and design of the command actions.The mixed chorus Tattoo is of great significance to the inheritance of traditional culture and the enhancement of cultural confidence.In addition,it also serves as a successful reference for the creation of national choruses.Therefore,in Part III,which is also the last part,it elaborates on the era connotation of this work.
