Akamatsu Katsumaro’s Thought And His Activities

This article mainly analyzes Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thoughts through the study of Akamatsu Katsumaro’s works and behaviors.As a famous social activist and thinker in modern Japan,Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thought has undergone many "turns" under the influence of many factors.This article mainly focuses on the period from1924 to 1942,trying to explore the changes in Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thought from the perspective of action and writing.The first chapter of this article mainly describes that Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thought rapidly changed from communism to right-wing social democracy in less than a year from 1923 to 1924.At this time,his status was also changed from a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party to a spokesperson for the Social Popular Party.The second chapter describes that as the social environment changes,Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thinking had once again changed and turned into National Socialism.Due to differences in thinking,Akamatsu also had to withdraw from the Social Popular Party and establish a new political party.In the third chapter,Akamatsu finally completely abandoned the class struggle part of his thoughts,and focused on reforming the domestic system and advocating wars of aggression.During this period,his own political activities also continued to move closer to the right,and eventually joined the Imperial Rule Assistance Association.By studying the specific content of Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thought,we can discover the constant or innate factors,which are the worship of the emperor system,the admiration of nationalism,and the contempt for modern bourgeois democratic forms.The domestic research on Akamatsu Katsumaro is only slightly mentioned,and there is no special research.In Japan,a complete collection of works by Akamatsu Katsumaro has not yet been formed,and there are not many research results on his thoughts.This article strives to observe the continuous changes of Akamatsu Katsumaro’s thoughts from 1924 to 1942 on an objective basis,based on Akamatsu Katsumaro’s own writings and related research,and analyze the background and internal logic of the changes.
