| As a common social term,the name of a store reflects the cultural literacy of the store,and reveals the policies,culture,and spirit of the times of a region.The study of such vivid language phenomena has important theoretical and practical significance.This paper is guided by linguistics,rhetoric and other theories,and takes the four districts(Zhongshan District,Xigang District,Shahekou District,Ganjingzi District)of Dalian in the top five hundred restaurants in the Dianping as the research objects.Synthesize to make use of the combination of web search and field investigation,literature research,quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis,analyze the linguistic characteristics of the dining name from the perspective of linguistics,dig out the social culture behind it,analyze the existing problems,and put forward some specific proposal.It is recommended to provide some help for the naming of the dining name in the catering industry.The full text is divided into six parts in total:The introduction mainly summarizes the research on store names,introduces the research status of store names and dining names,and explains the reasons for selecting the topic,the significance of the research,the theoretical basis,the source of corpus and the research methods.The first part introduces the general situation of Dalian and the dining names of Dalian.Firstly,it briefly introduces Dalian’s history,economic development and tourism and cultural resources;Secondly,it sorts out the development of dining names in Dalian’s catering industry from a diachronic point of view.The number of dining names continues to increase,the style has changed from classic to individual,and the structure has changed from a single " Generic name + generic name" has changed into various forms such as "general name + business name";From a synchronic perspective,the 2000 dining names in Dalian are classified according to catering type and business type,and it is found that the current Dalian dining name mainly focus on Chinese food,the trend of diversification is obvious.The second part examines the phonetic characteristics of the dining names in Dalian.Firstly,the syllable characteristics of dining names in Dalian were examined.Four-syllable shop names accounted for 20.44%.The excellent formatted names were the most common and short and easy to remember;Secondly,it examined the rhythmic characteristics of dining names in Dalian.The name of the shop is dominated by the level and oblique,high frequency words of dining names appear more frequently.The third part summarizes the language of the dining names in Dalian.Firstly,make statistics on the language and text of the dining name from the three aspects of Chinese language,foreign language,and number symbols,to illustrate the dominant position of Chinese and standardized Chinese characters,and to highlight the positive role of dialect words,foreign languages and symbols in the dining names;Secondly,statistical the basic situation of the hybrid type names,it is found that two kinds of mixed dining names are dominant.The fourth part analyzes the structure of the restaurant name in Dalian.Introduced the three major structural components of the dining name: general name,business name,and genus name.It separately counts the usage of generic names,the functional types of business names,the semantic types and rhetoric of the genus names,and analyzes the regionality and diversity of the dining name.The fifth part discusses the cultural phenomenon contained in the name of the restaurant in Dalian.It mainly analyzes the relationship between the name and culture of the dining names in Dalian from the three aspects of regional culture,foreign culture and network culture.It shows that the restaurant name is a mirror reflecting social history and culture,and dig out the cultural phenomenon behind it.The sixth part points out the problems of the dining names in Dalian and puts forward targeted suggestions.It mainly points out the problems of excessively long syllables,irregular text use,and obscure semantics in the dining name language from the three perspectives of speech,language and text,and semantic pragmatics,and puts forward targeted suggestions in conjunction with relevant policies and regulations to purify the language environment.The concluding part mainly summarizes the research conclusions of this paper. |
