The Study Of Zhang Bojian’s Thought Of Social Evolution Under The View Of Materialist History

Zhang Bojian was a pioneer of the Communist movement in China,a member of the first generation of the Bai Communist Party,a Marxist theorist and a propagandist.His "A Brief History of Social Evolution" is one of the earliest works to expound the history of human social development using marxist materialist historical principles,which played an important role in the early propaganda of marxism-Leninism in the early days of the Communist Party of China.In recent years,with the deep excavation of red resources,little-known Zhang Bojian gradually entered the public’s view,but the academic circles focused on his revolutionary pioneer status,the study of Zhang Bojian’s social evolutionary thought and its contemporary value is relatively weak.Based on the perspective of Marxist materialist historical view,this paper carefully combs and outlines its social evolution thought and summarizes its characteristics,contributions and limitations through the study of "A Brief History of Social Evolution" and other related works.First of all,the formation of Zhang Bojian ’s thought of social evolution is the product of the specific historical conditions.Chinese advanced elements no longer fantasize about the Western powers,and the victory of the October Revolution has made the Chinese people widely exposed to Marxism,in order to answer the question of "where China is going",it is necessary to understand the development law of human society in theory.In addition to the above objective factors,Zhang Bojian ’s own growth experience and practical experience is the subjective condition of the formation of his thought.As a teenager,Zhang Bojian showed his talent and ambition,then went to France to study Marxism in the Moscow Oriental University system,and returned home to lead the workers’ movement.Under the influence of Lenin,Zhang Bojian studied the thought of "economic science" and used it as the theoretical basis of his thought to form such achievements as "A Brief History of Social Evolution" and "A Table of Elements of Social economic Structure of the Times".Secondly,taking "A Brief History of Social Evolution" and "The Table of Elements of social and Economic Structures of the Times" as the starting point,this paper focuses on the study of the main contents of Zhang Bojian ’s thought of social evolution and the Marxist materialist historical view embodied in it.Zhang Bojian divided the process of human social development into primitive communist society,the blood commune of the clan,feudal society,slavery and serf system,urban handicraft system,commercial capital society,industrial capital society,communist society,analyzed the political,economic,cultural,distribution,cooperation,family and other aspects of the development of various societies,put forward eight social forms.He believes that the progress of productivity is the ultimate cause of social development,social consciousness in the process of material production gradually developed.Zhang also explained the generation and demise of class struggle and summarized the historical direction of social evolution.Finally,after the above research,Zhang Bojian ’s social evolution thought is evaluated.The characteristics,contributions and limitations of its thought are discussed.It is expounded that Zhang Bojian’s revolutionary pioneer spirit is admired and remembered.
