The foundation of personalized tutoring is an understanding of students’ knowledge mastery.The cognitive diagnosis theory(CD for short)is well-known as a coaching and tutoring tool for effective individualized diagnosis.However,due to the high standards of mathematics principles,sample size,and the number of attributes,it is hard to apply in school education.Student-Problem chart(S-P chart for short)is a teaching aid that is especially useful for class size diagnosis.It lacks complex mathematical concepts and a timeconsuming procedure,and it is not constrained by the number of attributes.However,its classification accuracy has yet to be extensively tested.As a result,the first research is to confirm the S-P chart’s categorization efficacy.It is not,however,capable of giving sophisticated knowledge structure diagnostic results,but the PFnet technique is.As a result,the second research intends to use the PFnet approach to diagnose knowledge structure for all types of students in the S-P chart and deliver results.In study 1,the CD classification results were used as calibration to evaluate the effectiveness of the S-P chart’s classification accuracy.Using the TIMSS 2007 database,it was observed that,in both large(n=1316)and small sample sizes(n=100),the amount of CD classification attribute mastery has a good prediction accuracy on the multinomial logistic regression of the S-P chart classification.In study 2,PFnet was used to explore the knowledge structure and knowledge status of students.A paper test and a behavioral experiment were conducted on 117 fourth-grade primary school students.The results demonstrate that the knowledge network of students with greater academic accomplishment and regular learning performance was found to be more constant,organized,and secure than that of teachers.While the less similar the knowledge system and the teacher’s knowledge structure are,the more dynamic,disordered,and dysfunctional the knowledge network becomes.The following is a detailed analysis of the six learning types of students.Students that learn stably have a simple and coherent knowledge structure and can integrate what they have learned.Careless students have a basic understanding of what they have studied,but they don’t truly comprehend certain concepts,such as "symmetry".Students who put in inadequate effort have poor comprehension of "number" and "form",with a particular weakness of "number".Students who are not hardworking can differentiate between the knowledge they have acquired,their comprehension of the relationship between knowledge is insufficient,especially in the area of numbers.Students of low intellectual abilities have a jumbled knowledge structure,and they struggle to master the distinctions and associations between knowledge.The knowledge structure of abnormal students is unpredictable and inconsistent,and they can only group basic knowledge blocks that are independent of one another in the order of the teacher’s teaching and the knowledge organization in the textbook.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The S-P chart is an effective categorization diagnostic tool.(2)The PFnet is an excellent diagnostic information structure instrument that can carry out classification and structure evaluation for students when used in conjunction with the S-P chart and offer significant guidance for school class remediation.
