| Writing teaching is a very important part of English teaching.In the current writing teaching,some teachers just pay much attention to the language itself,such as grammar,word spelling and the using of vocabulary,but neglect to create a relaxing writing environment for the students,which causes the students to have a lot of anxiety about English writing.After reading the literature,it is found that English writing in cooperative learning can create a more relaxing learning environment while paying attention to the language of writing,so that students can actively participate in writing activities.However,English teachers of junior high schools rarely apply specific models of cooperative learning to English writing teaching.This thesis is based on the zone of proximal development theory,humanistic learning theory,and motivational theory.The author chose 82 students from two parallel classes in Grade 9 of Lanzhou No.45 Middle School,and used tests and questionnaire as instruments.This thesis applied Student Teams-Achievement Divisions(STAD)to junior high school English writing teaching,and studied the effects of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions on junior high school students’ English writing achievements and English writing anxiety.In the process of English writing teaching,Student Teams-Achievement Divisions was adopted in experimental class,and the product approach was used in control class.After 12 weeks of experiment,the author analyzed the data by SPSS24.0 and drew the following conclusions: after applying Student Teams-Achievement Divisions to English writing teaching,students participated in writing discussions in a relaxing learning atmosphere actively,learned from each other and made progress together on the basis of paying attention to the language of writing,which could improve students’ English writing achievements and reduce their English writing anxiety.This thesis has three implications for junior high school English writing teaching.First,teachers should create a relaxing learning environment for students in their daily teaching.Second,teachers should ensure that every student in group cooperation has the opportunity to express opinions.Third,teachers should improve their professional quality and be fully prepared for the implementation of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions. |
