A Study On Xing Fang,a Poet Survived From The Early Qing Dynasty

Xing Fang was not only an important poet active in the poetry circle south of the Yangtze River in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,but also the main force in the activities of Nanjing community gathering in the late Ming Dynasty.Xing Fang devoted his whole life to the creation of poetry,hoping to enhance the literary pursuits and rescue the "poetic death".His poems are quiet and beautiful,sad and stirring,change freely,and have their own features.He is highly praised by his later ages.Based on the exploration and investigation of Xing Fang’s family life,friends and poetic creation,this paper attempts to discuss the evolution of Xing Fang’s poetic thought in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,in an attempt to get close to his living conditions and complex mentality and understand Xing Fang’s life.This paper is divided into three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction part makes a brief introduction to the collection of Xingfang’s poems and the editions of his poetry,summarizes the previous studies,and puts forward the research significance and ideas of this paper on this basis.The body part includes five chapters: The first chapter studies Xing Fang’s family and life.Xing Fang was born in a family of ordinary intellectuals in Gaochun,south of the Yangtze River.His strong scholarly atmosphere and loyal family atmosphere laid a solid foundation for the poet’s excellent character of being devoted to learning and adhering to moral integrity.Collapse of Dynasty made his life full of frustrations and difficulties.Failed the imperial examination,making a hard living was the true portrayal of his life,and also the starting point of studying him and his poems.The second chapter study the circle of friends of Xing Fang.makes a large proportion of the poems in Xing Fang’s antiphon poetry,and has more than 400 friends.Due to their special status,complex status and high research value,Xing Fang,who was active in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,though of humble status,was highly appreciated by literary masters.He was an inexorable figure in the poetry association of Nanjing and became a spiritual model for the surviving people of the Ming Dynasty because of his integrity after the Ming dynasty perish.An analysis of his social network is bound to provide important clues for the study of the activities of the poetry association of Nanjing,the evolution of the style of poetry and the feelings of the surviving people in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.The third chapter discusses the view of Xing Fang’s poetics,based on his poetry to research.In his early years,Xing Fang was obsessed with ancient poems of Han and Wei dynasties,and was fond of retro poetics.Middle-aged pursuit poetic style of The Jing-ling Group,advocating literary pursuits.However,this kind of poetic aesthetics is finally broken by the reality of the destruction of the country and the collapse of the family,and the pain of the loss of the country,the sadness of the separation,the difficulty of life,and the anger and sadness are trapped in the heart.Therefore,"temperament" is used to replace the "single mood","change" and "temperament" are used to save the "poetic death".The fourth and fifth chapters study Xing Fang’s poetic creation and artistic style.Taking the content as the dividing standard,the author chooses the classic works with superb poetic skills and rich connotation to outline the life experience,living conditions and changes of the poet’s mentality.On this basis,this paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of his poems,and explores the charm and influence of his poems from the aspects of poetic style and expressive skills.The conclusion comments on the status and influence of Xing Fang and his poetry in the poetry circle in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties,and puts forward the possibility of further deepening the case study and group study of Xing Fang on the basis of this paper.
