| In judicial practice, due to the limitations of practical conditions, not all cases can find evidence related to the case.At this time,"witnesses" can provide a greater degree of help for judicial practice. In the real world, the role of witnesses is mainly reflected in providing statements and identifying criminal suspects. However, due to various factors, the accuracy of witnesses in identifying criminal suspects deserves attention. If the accuracy of the witnesses is not high, and the testimony of the witnesses is adopted in the judicial system,it is easy to cause judicial injustice. Therefore, how to improve the accuracy of eyewitness identification has become a concern of many researchers. This study conducted a summary analysis on the basis of various studies and found that the presentation of the lineup, the identification response time of the witnesses, and the presence of the target will affect the identification accuracy. However, many studies only study the identification from one aspect. In addition, some study had found that, individual difference predivt eyewitness performance. As an important individual variable, cognitive style is rarely mentioned in the research on eyewitness identification. Therefore, this study explores the impact of multiple factors on the accuracy of identification, such as the presentation style of the lineup and the cognitive style. The experiment was designed as2(cognitive style: FI,FD)×2(presentation style: simultaneous lineup, sequential lineup)mixed design,in order to discuss the influence of the two factors to the eyewitness testimony:study 1 was in the condition of Perpetrator-Present to analysis the influence of eyewitness identification. And study 2 was in the condition of Perpetrator-Absent to analysis the influence of eyewitness identification. This study use simulated event paradigm, and after experiments and analysis, this research has drawn the following conclusions:(1)The presentation of the queue will not affect the accuracy of the identification results.(2)Cognitive style will affect the recognition result. When the target is listed, the witness recognition accuracy of the field-independent cognitive style is higher than that of the field-dependent cognitive style.(3)Witnesses with different cognitive styles have no significant differences in their recognition reactions.(4)The presence of the target affects the accuracy of the eyewitness’ s identification. The accuracy of the eyewitness’ s identification when the target is in the row is significantly higher than that when the target is not in the row. |
