A Study Of The World View Of Science Fiction In The Late Qing Dynasty

In 1902,Liang Qichao launched the "new novel revolution",aiming to refresh the nationals via novels,so that the status of novels as reading texts was greatly improved.In the late Qing dynasty,“the eastward transmission of western sciences” occurred.Missionaries spread science,schools taught western learning,and libraries published western books and magazines.Under the influence of cultural exchanges and influences,science began to spread through the knowledge-based mode.The translation and introduction of foreign science fiction brought a new form of fiction to China in the late Qing dynasty,which is called science fiction.Science fiction of the late Qing dynasty began in 1902,developed rapidly in the following ten years and reached its peak.From the perspective of literature,the literary value of science fiction in the late Qing dynasty is not high.However,from the view of the history of science,the science fiction of the late Qing dynasty,as a popular text with multiple meanings of science communication and national salvation,the concepts reflected in it are the attitudes of the advanced intellectuals to the society at that time,and also containing a miniature of the era.This paper tries to analyze people’s attitude towards science and technology in the late Qing dynasty and their reflection on the power of science and technology.The collision and development of Chinese and western thoughts occurred in the late Qing dynasty.As the text content of the late Qing dynasty was highly spread at that time,the plot fully reflected the conflict and fusion of traditional Chinese thoughts and western scientific ideal thoughts,and the inheritance of the tradition.Based on the view of science and Chinese and western cultural thoughts embodied in the science fiction of the late Qing dynasty,this paper further discusses the unique features of the conception of social construction in the science fiction of the late Qing dynasty.From the perspective of the science fiction of the late Qing dynasty,this paper discusses the world view behind it.And the paper discusses the conflict of ideas brought about by the cultural integration in the late Qing dynasty and the new thoughts gradually formed in this process from a new perspective.Science fiction is nowadays a part of the research on the history of science.Science fiction is the main research material,and the view of science,traditional ideology and view of society is analyzed in combination with the historical background to achieve the purpose of studying the world view of science fiction in the late Qing dynasty.
