After the Qing Dynasty government implemented the policy of returning the land to the river,it had a far-reaching impact on the political, economic and cultural development of Qingshui River Basin. The royal power continued to penetrate into the minority areas, and the "Miao" community was also brought under the rule of the royal power. In order to promote the stable development of local society, the government of the Republic of China carried out the reform of local administrative divisions and the implementation of the new county system and Baojia system in the Qingshui River Basin. However, there was still a situation that the people’s autonomy and the official rule coexisted in the Qingshui River basin. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the government attached great importance to the opening and management of Qingshuijiang waterway, which promoted the prosperity of local forestry trade, and Forest Trading became an important part of family economic production. The change of social environment has promoted the continuous cultural and production technology exchanges between Han and ethnic minorities, which has led to the innovation of ethnic culture and the formation of diversified civilization in Qingshui River Basin.Women are the important labor force of family agriculture and forestry production. In the Qingshui River Basin,Miao and Dong women participate in a rich and diverse economic life.Women can buy and sell or pawn the family’s forest, land and other assets independently or jointly. In addition, women also take up the occupation of planting hands to obtain more economic income and break through the limitations of family production space;Private lending is also an important part of women’s participation in economic activities. When women’s family economic life is frustrated, they can also solve their economic and living difficulties through lending. Some women with certain economic strength will engage in private lending financial activities as lenders.Women’s economic activities are conducive to women’s pursuit of equal status and rights in family and society. In traditional society,Miao and Dong women in Qingshui River Basin have no direct and equal right to inherit family property. Most of the way that women inherit their mother’s property and husband’s property is through gift. However, when their husband dies or loses the ability to manage family property, women can inherit and manage family property together with their children, and women play an indispensable role in family separation,It embodies the important position and function of women in the family. From the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, women’s groups in the Qingshui River Basin frequently participated in economic activities. The main reasons were the determination of women’s equal rights by social laws, women’s struggle for educational resources and political discourse power, and the establishment of various women’s groups, which had a favorable impact on women’s economic life.Women’s economic life also promotes the development of social and economic production and promotes women’s pursuit of equal rights and status.Women in the Qingshui River Basin have the right to dispose of family assets independently and have greater economic freedom, which promotes women to gradually get rid of the constraints of clan forces when they participate in economic activities.
