The Application Of The "Limitation" Of Choreography Techniques In Dance Works

As one of the choreographic techniques,"restriction" is a very distinctive feature.This technique adds new,strange and special effects to the work through the "restriction" of formation,movement and body,which is gradually being paid attention to by choreographers.Through this article,we hope that more choreographers will have a better understanding of "restriction" and see the value of this choreographic technique."Restriction" is a breakthrough for creation and a challenge for thinking transformation.Through "limitation",we seek for the possibility of breakthrough and maximize the possibility,but also to change our thinking and discover more possibilities of the work.Compared with other choreographic techniques,"limitation" is not very versatile,but if it can be used wisely,it will broaden the possibilities of dance expression,and at the same time,the unique artistic charm of "limitation" itself can be reflected in the dance works.This paper is based on the work of Xu Xiujuan,a crane-saving girl.This paper is based on the real-life story of Xu Xiujuan,a young girl who saved the cranes,and uses the unique choreographic technique of "restriction" as the main choreographic technique,which is applied in this graduation report work "Crane’s Flight".Using three scientific research methods: literature,case study,and video analysis,we elaborate on the application of the theoretical research on "limitation" to the practical operation of the work.The main "restrictions" in the work "Crane’s Flight" are: formation "restrictions",body "restrictions",props "restrictions".Through various "restriction" techniques,the whole work is more difficult to choreograph,but it is also the innovation of the work "Flight of the Crane",which brings unprecedented visual value to the audience.Through the study of the choreographic technique "restriction",as well as the analysis of the background and music composition in the creation of the work,we argue that "restriction" can enhance the connotation of the dance work,improve the viewing value of the dance work,and enhance the application of the choreography in the dance work.practicality in choreography.This study will provide some reference for the application of "restriction" technique in future choreographies.
