Research On The Design Language Of Shanxi Provincial Food Stamps

Food stamps are a product of the era of my country’s planned economy.They were a type of ticket issued by the state to the urban population based on quantitative standards.Food stamps are the epitome of the social,political,economic,cultural,and artistic development of an era.Food stamps reflect the visual image of the country from the side.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,due to China’s economic situation and the implementation of grain policies,the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government has responded to the state’s planned economic policy and began to implement urban grain rationing measures.Provincial food stamps in Shanxi Province are the product of the planned economy era at that time.Due to the different time of issuance of provincial food stamps in Shanxi Province,the face design of each version of the food stamps has its own distinct and unique characteristics.The research of this paper is mainly based on physical inspection,literature review,historical background investigation,typical case analysis,survey interviews and other methods.By reviewing the writings,journals,academic papers,and related graphic design monographs related to food stamps,we have scientifically analyzed the elements of provincial food stamps in Shanxi Province and categorized Shanxi provincial food stamps.In addition,on the basis of understanding the relevant graphic design principles of food stamps,and by analyzing typical cases of provincial food stamps in Shanxi Province,we have deeply studied the design form of the ticket face,the design of the main scene,the design of auxiliary patterns,the color design and the printing process.By analyzing the features of the face design of the provincial food stamps in Shanxi Province and the practicability,aesthetics and local cultural uniqueness of the face design,we have obtained the style of the times reflected in the face design and the inspiration for the current design.
