The Primitive Interest Of Yunnan Oil Painting In The 1980s

This paper takes Yunnan oil painting works in 1980s as the main research object.Through the comprehensive analysis of the form and spirit of the representative works,the characteristics of "primitive interest" are studied in depth.At the same time,it explores the factors of its formation.First,the paper makes a brief introduction to the overall development of Yunnan oil painting in the 1980 s from the historical point of view.And through the comparative analysis of images,the oil paintings of Yunnan in the 1980 s have similar expression techniques with the primitive fine art in form,that is,the simple and general treatment of modeling,the expression of subjective emotions in color,the simple and powerful lines,the random combination of images in composition,and the unclear perspective space of the picture.In addition,the subjective expression of self emotion by Yunnan oil painters in their creation is also a manifestation of the original artistic spirit.In the 1980 s,oil painters in the period of concept transformation are more likely to turn to the early art form to seek spiritual comfort under the condition of anxiety about themselves and society,thus reflecting the primitive complex with purpose.Secondly,the author selects four typical oil painters in Yunnan,Mao Xuhui,Zhang Xiaogang,Zeng Xiaofeng and Ma Yun.To make a concrete form analysis of their works and interpret the“primitive interest” in their respective creative spirit and experience.On this basis,the author finds that the “primitive interest”in their pictures is influenced by various aspects,including the background of the environment in which Chinese oil painting needs to be innovated,the external characteristics of simplicity,clumsiness,strangeness and illusion in the local minority art and the enlightenment of the primitive spirit in the modern Western art.Finally,the “primitive interest”can be regarded as a characteristic of Yunnan oil painting to construction regional painting style.Through the discussion on the establishment of style,the inheritance of local ethnic culture and the expression of spirit,it is found that it has certain positive significance.
