Discussion On Foley Creation In Film And Television

Nowadays,more and more film and television works choose to "create" the sound by adopting the method of late foley.Foley is an indispensable part of the sound creation of film and television,whether it is in creating a sense of reality or enhancing expressiveness.Through literature research,the author finds that foley is a highly integrated technique of technology and art,and technology is an important means to realize artistic ideas.However,in the existing literature on foley,there are not many documents related to creative ideas and techniques.When we return to the creation itself,how should we folio? What is the idea? What are the method skills?Therefore,this article combines theory with examples to explore the basic ideas of folio creation from the purpose of folio creation;analyze and systematically summarize the methods and skills of folio creation;finally,combine with one’s own MFA graduation work to further explain how to create folio creation.I hope to provide some reference for film and television sound creators and related researchers.
