| Children’s language and social development are the basis for subsequent academic achievements,mental health,interpersonal relationships and social skills.The family environment is an important factor affecting the development of young children.Mother’s emotions directly affect the perception and response to children’s needs,and are one of the important factors affecting children’s language and social development.This article explores the internal mechanism of family environment,mother’s depression and other factors that affect children’s language and social emotional abilities.This study evaluated 403 mothers’ domestic violence,maternal depression,social support,children’s language and social emotional by filling out questionnaires by parents.The scale tools used include: "Conflict Strategy Scale","Circulation Center Depression Scale","Comprehensive Social Support Scale","Chinese Early Language and Communication Development Scale(Mandarin Version)","Infant and Toddler Society" Emotional Ability Questionnaire,etc.The main findings are as follows:(1)Mothers suffered from domestic violence and psychological attacks were the highest,followed by physical attacks,and sexual coercion was the lowest;the average score of children’s language development was 86.36,of which the average value of expressive words was 68.2,and the average sentence length was 5.67;children’s social and emotional ability The average score is 42.72,among which the average empathy is the highest,the compliance is the second,and the pro-social peer relationship is the lowest.(2)Children’s language ability is significantly positively correlated with their monthly age,mother’s education,family income,and social support,and is significantly negatively correlated with domestic violence and maternal depression.Children’s social and emotional abilities are significantly positively correlated with their months of age,gender,social support,and language ability,and are significantly negatively correlated with domestic violence and maternal depression.(3)There is no significant difference in children’s language in terms of gender,and the scores of only children are lower than those of non-only children;there are differences in the development of children’s social and emotional abilities in terms of gender,male children are higher than female children.(4)Mother’s experience of domestic violence has a negative impact on the children’s language and social-emotional abilities of 18-30 months old.Maternal depression plays a part of the mediating role in the impact of domestic violence on children’s language and social-emotional abilities.The second half of the path of violence → maternal depression → children ’ s language ability" plays a moderating role;similarly,social support plays a moderating role in the second half of the path of "suffering domestic violence→maternal depression→children’s social emotional ability".The conclusion of this study: The mothers of young children suffering from domestic violence can significantly negatively predict the young children’s language and social emotional abilities,and the mother’s depression plays a part of the mediating role.In addition,in the second half of the mediating role,the social support felt by the mother plays a moderating role.When the level of social support is high,the mother’s depression does not affect the child’s language and sociality;when the level of social support is low,the mother’s depression negatively predicts the child’s language and social ability. |
