Research On The Development Of The Lacquerware With Mother-of-pearl

The lacquerware with mother-of-pearl decoration skills in Jishan are excellent traditional handicrafts bred on the fertile soil of Houji’s homeland.In December 2014,it was included in the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection projects by the State Council.However,there is very little information on the study of the lacquerwarer with mother-of-pearl in Jishan.This thesis takes the development of lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan lacquerware as the research object,combines archaeological excavation reports,collects relevant documents,and conducts field investigations to supplement some of the blanks in the research materials.Through questionnaire surveys,we can understand the current public’s awareness of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl and expectations of its product demand,and provide data support for its future development direction.This thesis,by consulting relevant historical documents,combs and studies the development context of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in China,and analyzes the historical environment and historical conditions of the development of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan.Then,it summarizes the artistic characteristics of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl from three aspects: craftsmanship,ware type,and figure decoration,and then analyzes the historical and cultural value,art collection value and economic practicality of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan.Through a combination of field investigations and questionnaire surveys,the system analyzes the development and cognition status of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan,and contrasts with the development status of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Yangzhou,Japan,and South Korea.Finally,by discussing the problems existing in the development of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan,combined with the current development status,some innovative strategies are proposed for the development of the lacquerware with mother-of-pearl in Jishan under the background of the new era.
