| Directed forgetting can clarify the direction and content of cognition,choose to forget the specified information and remember the specified information.It has the characteristics of directional and point.Making good use of the directional forgetting process is instructive to saving memory resources and healthy physical and mental development.The language learning process is inseparable from context.Existed research on directed forgetting and a context mainly focused on the recovery effect of context,and the characteristics and form of context will also have an impact on learning.At the same time,studies have shown that embodied information can affect language comprehension.Under the influence of movement information and spatial information,the individual’s cognitive processing level of learning materials will change.Therefore,in this study,embodied information was taken as a correlative factor in context,and a series of experiments were designed to explore the effect of context on directed forgetting.In order to explore whether the direction of a the context will affect the directed forgetting effect of vocabularies,in experiment 1,words containing spatial positions were used to form reasonable contextual sentences,and Item-method of directed forgetting was adopted,with 40 selected college students,using 2(context orientation: direction vs.no direction)×2(instruction type: R vs.F)in-subject experimental design,statistical analysis of the test’s recognition results.The results show that the subjects’ recognition scores in the directional context are much higher than those in the non-directional context,and there is a significant directed forgetting effect.In order to investigate the effect of directed forgetting in a specific(different direction and different form)context,experiment 2 A controls for the directional of context and the correlation of memory items on the basis of Experiment 1.Experiment 2 was divided into two experiments.In Experiment 2 A1,80 students are selected and 2(semantic coherence:coherence vs.Incoherent)× 2(context orientation:same direction vs.differential direction)×2(instruction type: R vs.F)of mixed experimental design is adopted,semantic coherence is variable between groups,it is found that no matter in the context of coherent or incoherent context significant directed forgetting effect appears.The recognition rate of coherent with differential direction is higher than that of coherent with same direction,and the result of mismatch facilitation appears.Incoherent sentence appeared under the condition of the direction consistent effect.Experiment 2 A2 subjects selected 42,on the basis of experiment 2A1 change under the condition of coherent context rendering time expect to see the consistency of the effect,the results show that by adjusting the rendering time context for3000 ms does not match the facilitation effect will disappear,but consistency effect is not significant.And it also shows that in the context of coherent information and same direction information may compete processing resources to a certain extent.Experiment 2 B is based on Experiment 2 A,changing the sentence context to the word context to further investigate the directional forgetting effect of memory items of spatial positions in the word context.40 students are selected,and the experiment uses 2(instructions type: R vs.F)× 2(context orientation: same direction vs.different direction)in-subject experimental design.The experimental results show that the directed forgetting effect disappears in the same word context,and significant in the opposite context directed forgetting effect.The results of the above studies indicate that the context containing directional information affects the effects of directed forgetting.At the same time,the consistent effect of sentence direction not only appears in the subject’s response judgment,but also exists in memory studies.In the same direction context,the directed forgetting effect in sentence context is stronger than that in word context. |
