| Wang Jingze in metamorphosis is popular with "the law of true fragrance",and the socalled law of true fragrance reflects those inconsistent behaviors.Looking back on the long history,it seems that people have been pursuing the way of "consistent in appearance, consistent in words and deeds".However, can people really achieve "consistent in words and deeds" ? The answer is not so.Not only do people’s words and deeds differ in their daily life, but also moral psychologists find that people’s moral judgments in the context of text are inconsistent with their moral behaviors in virtual reality. Therefore, this study starts from the separation of moral judgment and moral behavior, and carries out the following two studies. In Study 1,we used the Chinese version of Levinson psychosis self-report scale(LSRPCV)and the Chinese version of Interpersonal reaction index scale(IRI-C)to conduct correlation analysis and regression analysis by using SPSS 24.0 statistical software to explore the influence of personality characteristics on moral decision-making.The results show that the interpersonal response index has no significant predictive effect on individual moral decisionmaking, but fantasy has a significant predictive effect on individual moral decision-making.Secondly,we use the experimental method to create the moral dilemma scene of virtual reality, using the between-subjects design of 2(Dilemma type: Personal dilemma vs.Impersonal dilemma)× 2(Presentation mode: VR vs.Text),selects 60 college students as experimental subjects to explore the differences of moral decision-making between subjects in different moral dilemmas under text conditions and subjects in different moral dilemmas under virtual reality conditions, the results show that under the condition of virtual reality, individuals tend to make utilitarian choices whether they are in personal or impersonal dilemmas. However,in the context of text, individuals are more inclined to make deontological decisions when they make moral judgments and moral behavior choices, whether in personal or impersonal dilemma, and the difference between them is not significant. In Study 2,based on Study 1,in order to further verify the influence of personality characteristics on moral decision-making,we used the Chinese version of Levinson psychosis self-report scale(LSRP-CV)and the Chinese version of Interpersonal reaction index scale(IRIC)to conduct correlation analysis and regression analysis with SPSS 24.0 statistical software to explore the influence of personality characteristics on moral decision-making.The results show that: Primary psychopathy has a significant predictive effect on individual moral decisionmaking, specifically negative prediction of individual moral decision-making.Although it does not verify the results of study 1,it is also inconsistent with previous research results and our hypothesis, but it shows that personality characteristics related to psychotic traits can partially predict individual moral decision-making.Secondly,because study 1 did not control the decision-making time of the subjects,it was unable to further judge whether the decisionmaking results were obtained after careful thinking or according to certain emotions of the individual induced by the situation, that is,it was unable to judge the processing mechanism of the moral decision-making of the subjects. Therefore, based on the study 1,the study 2 adopted the time pressure paradigm to control the decision time of the subjects. The subjects were designed by 2(Time pressure: With time pressure vs.Without time pressure)× 2(Dilemma type: Personal dilemma vs.Impersonal dilemma)× 2(Presentation mode: VR vs.Text),selects120 college students as experimental subjects to explore the relationship between moral judgment and moral behavior under different presentation conditions and different moral dilemmas. The results show that there is no significant difference in moral decision-making between virtual reality and text under the condition of no time pressure, but under the condition of time pressure, individuals are more inclined to make utilitarian choices under the condition of virtual reality, while individuals are more inclined to make deontological choices under the condition of text.To sum up,this study found that individuals tend to make utilitarian choices under the condition of virtual reality, while under the condition of text, they tend to make deontological decisions, indicating that there is indeed inconsistency between individual moral judgment and moral behavior. In addition, this study also found that time pressure can promote individuals to make more utilitarian choices in virtual reality, and make more deontological decisions under text conditions. It also found that primary psychopathy and fantasy can predict individual moral decisions, which indicates that personality characteristics can affect individual moral decisionmaking. |
