On The Space Design Of Documentaries Of Documentary Style

Looking at the whole world with a straight eye,documentaries of documentary style shape the space with methods like scene filming,synchronously documenting and natural light effects and keep an objective record of what life really looks like.It is,therefore,of a unique charm,that is plain and simple.O n the premise of respecting authenticity,documentaries of documentary style are of various possibilities for space design.Space is not only a narrative carrier of the characters’ activities but of multiple functions,including expressing emotion as well.There are diverse elements to build up the space of documentary.The creative expression of the narrative space of documentaries of documentary style is formed during the process of combining different elements.Starting from the problems of space design encountered in the process o f creating my graduation work,My Sun,and combining with several excellent documentaries of documentary style and related literatures,this paper analyzed and studied the problems of space design in documentaries of documentary style.The first part of the paper will focus on the analysis of the ellipsis expressions of space under concentration and selection in documentaries of documentary style.The second part explores the reinforcing effect on documentaries’ space by spatial symbolism and detailed metap hor.The third one studies the influence and performance of synchronously documenting and time reconstructing on space design.Fourthly,the audio-visual rhythm’s performance on spatial structure in documentaries will be analyzed.
