Research On The Development Of Chinese Film Industry Cluster To Enhance International Competitiveness

As a sunrise industry in the 21st century,the cultural industry has been valued by more and more countries.China has already become the world’s second largest economy with a rapid economic development.However,the international influence of Chinese culture does not match the economic status,because of the backward development of cultural industry.As a part of the cultural industry,film is an important carrier for China to show national image and spread culture to the world.In recent years,Chinese film industry has developed rapidly and has made considerable achievements.The number of film screens ranked first in the world,and the box office of movies ranked second in the world.However,Chinese films have performed poorly in the international market,with a dismal box office and little influence.Chinese film trade has been in deficit for a long time.American film industry may be the best in the world.Hollywood blockbusters have swept the world and brought huge economic benefits to the United States.At the same time,the cultural values carried in the film have also been widely disseminated,and the audiences around the world have been influenced subtly.And all of this have benefited from the development of Hollywood film industry cluster.Chinese film industry clusters mostly exist in the form of film and television bases.After years of development,they have formed a considerable scale.Among them,Hengdian Film and Television City has become the world’s largest film and television base,known as "Chinese Hollywood".However,there are still many problems in the development of Chinese film industry.Therefore,in this article,the author will research how the film industry cluster enhances international competitiveness,and learn from the experience of the development of foreign film industry cluster,in order to provide some advices for the further development of Chinese film industry.Based on the previous literatures,the current situation of Chinese film industry cluster and international competitiveness will be described,and then how the film industry cluster enhances international competitiveness will be analyzed.Then,the development history and successful experience of foreign film industry cluster will be analyzed.Finally,the author will provide advices on how to improve the development level of Chinese film industry cluster and enhance international competitiveness.
