Research On Natural Science Of National Sun Yat-Sen University

Natural Science is a journal of natural science founded by the School of Science,National Sun Yat-Sen University,under the influence of the scientific trend of thought and the thought of saving the country through industary.The magazine was founded in March 1928.It was temporarily suspended in June 1937 due to the impact of the Anti-Japanese War.After the reissue of Vol.1,No.1 in 1948,it finally ceased publication,and published 8 volumes and 29 issues.Its journal aims to cultivate readers’ scientific personality while paying attention to the application of science and the study of scientific principles.It records a period of history of the dissemination of science in colleges and universities in Lingnan region in the early 20 th century.By collecting,sorting out and analyzing the main historical materials of Natural Science,this paper,centering on the scientific contents and industrial articles published in Natural Science,shows the general development course of Natural Science from 1928 to 1937,and thus explores the development of its discipline and the status of intellectual dissemination,thus enriching the research on the history of modern scientific periodicals.This paper mainly discusses from three aspects.First,it introduces the basic situation of "Natural Science".Starting from the founding background of the journal,it recognizes the author group and the basic content of the journal.Secondly,the subject articles,investigation reports,work experience and other contents published in Natural Science are inductively studied.Thirdly,it explores the interactive relationship between Natural Science and science,and analyzes its insights on the development direction of industry in Lingnan area.The body is divided into three chapters,the first is the overview of "Natural Science".This paper introduces the background of the establishment of the journal of Natural Science,and clarifies the basic information of the column setting and author groups through the detailed sorting of the journal of Natural Science during 1928-1937 and 1948.Then all kinds of knowledge in Natural Science are summarized,including the systematic classification of subject knowledge,the investigation reports of Chemistry Department and Geography Department,and the relevant work experience of industrial and factory.Through carefully reading the "Natural Science",summed up the various knowledge of the contribution to Lingnan region.Finally,based on the interaction between "Natural Science" and "science",this paper discusses how scientific method can be popularized,how science and technology can guide the practice,and how to contribute new ideas to the industrial problems of guangdong and guangdong.In the conclusion part,the author makes a summary evaluation.By comparing Natural Science with other journals,the author expounds its inherent characteristics and evaluates it from the perspective of its academic influence.Finally,a brief introduction to Natural Science can further deepen the research content.Natural Science has been in existence for 10 years and has published 29 issues.Its academic value cannot be ignored.Natural Science enriches the academic contents of Lingnan region and makes important contributions to the scientific development of Lingnan region.All these are worthy of our careful examination and in-depth study.
