| The research object of this article is a group of coffin board paintings collected in Xi’an Qu Jiang Museum of Fine Arts.Five coffin boards can be combined into a trapezoidal wooden coffin with a high front and a low back.The colored images on it are rich in content,and the figures and animals are naive.vivid,dynamic and natural.It embodies a prosperous and leisurely border scenery.The painted wooden coffins in the Qu Jiang Museum of Fine Arts collection show scenes such as farming,horse troop trips,cooking,banquets in the tent,and returning from pastoralism,as well as images of the sun and the moon.The painter is good at taking the wonderful and diverse worldly life as a reference,cleverly arranging the composition of the picture,using outstanding line and color techniques,and depicting scenes of social life thousands of years ago on the coffin board.The painting style has strong nomadic characteristics.The thesis traces the decorative techniques and shapes of wooden coffins,and explores the origin of the use of painted trapezoidal wooden coffins.Combining relevant literature and sorting out the trapezoidal painted wooden coffins unearthed from various eras,most of them were unearthed in the Hexi area during the Wei and Jin Dynasties,Pingcheng and surrounding areas during the Northern Wei Dynasty,and Qinghai during the Tubo and Tuyuhun periods.Through combing the characteristics of the painted trapezoidal wooden coffins from various places,it is found that the painted wooden coffins unearthed in Pingcheng and Tuyuhun belong to the product of Xianbei’s rule or are influenced by the Xianbei culture.The coffin board contains a variety of cultural elements,including Han cultural elements,Tuyuhun cultural elements and Western cultural elements.The painted wooden coffin board paintings of Qu Jiang Museum of Fine Arts are the products of the exchange and integration of these elements.After refining and discussing images with various cultural elements,after comparative analysis,the author preliminarily judges that this group of painted wooden coffins should belong to the Tuyuhun period in Qinghai area,which is of great value to the study of trade and cultural integration on the Silk Road and Qinghai Road. |
