The Research On The National Units Of Central Asia During The Great Patriotic War

The Great Patriotic War of Soviet Union was one of the most important components of the World War II.On June 22,1941,Nazi Germany launched operation "Barbarossa" to conduct a full attack on the Soviet Union.In this one of the most tragic war in the history of mankind,the people of all ethnic groups in the Soviet Union have made great sacrifices for victory.Especially in 1941-1943,as the most densely populated areas of western territory of the Soviet Union was take by German army.,in order to form new army to fighting with the German,various nationalities in the eastern region,especially in Central Asia,were massively integrated into the Red Army and the independent national army,which provided strong support for the Soviet Union to tide over the difficult period in the early stage of the war.Those soldiers from Central Asia continued to play an important role in the strategic offensive carried out by the Soviet Union.Based on the former research,this paper mainly discusses the reasons for the formation of the Central Asian national army in the Great Patriotic War,the contribution made to the Great Patriotic War,and the Soviet Union’s use of the Central Asian National Army’s initiatives and experience.The article first describes the general situation of the national army before the Tsarist Russia and the Soviet before the Great Patriotic War,and secondly analyzes the contribution of the formation of the Central Asian national unites,focusing on the Soviet Union’s measures on the building of national identity and military propaganda for the Central Asian national unites.Compare with the other regional national of Soviet Union(the Baltic national unites and the Transcaucasian national army)and discusses the characteristics of the Central Asian national unites,that is,the Central Asian national unites is large in scale,and its national characteristics are also reflected in the military.It is precisely because of the success of the Soviet national identity building before the war and the propaganda in the military so that the Central Asian national unites was able to make an important contribution to the victory of the Great Patriotic War.
