Violin professor Shixiang Zhang,one of the most distinguished teachers in the world,has developed his whole life to violin teaching and remarkably promoted the development of violin education in China.Through combing outstanding teaching skills from foreign violin academic schools and his unique teaching experience over the past decades,Prof.Zhang compiled a set of proper textbooks for Chinese students.Currently,those textbooks are not only widely used in formative education of Chinese students,but also regarded as one of the pivotal influences that facilitating the rapid development of violin education in China.To thoroughly analyze Prof.Zhang’s textbook,teaching ideas and teaching practices,this paper adopts five research methods,including analytical method,literature research method,comparative method,interview method,and inductive method.In order to reveal the characteristics of systematic and scientific in Prof.Zhang’s textbooks,this paper elaborately analyzes his books by structural systems,the effect for children at formative violin education,the technical and logic arrangement,and the key or difficult points of essential contents;meanwhile,this paper also compares his textbook with foreign professional literature to keep objectivity.Besides,this paper further explores Prof.Zhang’s teaching vision,which hides the behind of his books.The author insist that understanding his teaching vision enables us to use his textbook better.In conclusion,after the analysis of Prof.Zhang’s books and his teaching vision,the author considers that scientific and systematic ways in his books enable beginners to not only master proper performance method,but also genuinely love music.The primary purpose of compiling outstanding textbooks is that helping Chinese children to accept best violin formative education and cultivate a favorable habit of violin study.Combing Prof.Zhang’s expectation for Chinese violin teachers,an increasing number of young teachers can improve and innovate his violin research,with “cultural reflection in the violin lessons,” the author puts forward some thoughts and prospects for the development of violin textbooks in China.The author will devote to the development of violin textbooks of compiling and teaching in China.Based on this,the author hopes that young teachers can know and learn shining points from Prof.Zhang;meanwhile,young teachers should continue to rethink and summarize their teaching,and gradually cultivate a spirit of innovation.
