My Understanding And Practice Of Figure Painting Modeling

With the continuous progress of the times,traditional figure painting has been on the road of continuous innovation from painting techniques and language forms.Since the introduction of Western painting concepts into China,figure painting has undergone significant changes in shape,aesthetics,theme,material selection and brush and ink language.As a result,all kinds of painting trends in the long river of the times have evolved,and there are two development trends of figuration and concretization.This paper describes the main characteristics of the traditional figure painting,and how the western painting modeling concept has affected the change and development of traditional ink figure painting since the 20 th century,and thus leads to the main forms of modern ink figure painting realism,and analyzes the aesthetic trend of modern ink figure painting in ink language,theme and modeling characteristics.At the same time,combined with their own creation,they want to express their thoughts and feelings and personal feelings,by means of more specific and intuitive form and content.
