Analysis Of The National Characteristics Of Grieg’s Piano Music

As the founder of Norwegian folk music,Edvard Grieg devoted his whole life to the creation of Norwegian folk music.He infuses Norwegian culture,language and national spirit into his music,making it intensely national.In his instrumental music,songs,and chamber music works have used a wealth of folk music materials.In this article,through analysis of grieg’s piano concerto in a minor creation characteristics,melody structure as well as the application of national vocabulary,etc.,which reveals that contained in the Norwegian folk music melody,rhythm folk dance,folk mode and harmony etc.,and thus to bring some of my graduation concert playing bright spot.
