The exchanges and cooperation between China and Japan in the fields of economy,culture,politics,education,etc.have been expanding.In recent years,the number of Chinese learners in Japan has steadily increased,and the demand for Chinese language learning resources has been increasing.Therefore,language translation APP came into being in the era of "Internet + post-method".It is undeniable that the translation APP does provide a new learning method for second language learners,which can help learners learn languages independently.However,the current translation APP can only provide reference materials,not standard answers,and the problems in the software itself will also bring inevitable negative effects to learners.In order to further understand the translation quality of the current translation APP and analyze its impact on Japanese Chinese learners,this paper uses the literature research method,questionnaire survey method,statistical analysis method,translation comparison method,and language comparison analysis method to conduct research.First,by reading the prior literature,grasp the progress of related research,and determine the research direction of this paper.Then use questionnaires to investigate the use of translation apps by Japanese Chinese learners,such as learners’ preference,frequency of use,motivation,method,and satisfaction.Based on the above investigation,the three most commonly used translation apps for Japanese Chinese learners-Google Translate,Baidu Translate,and Hujiang Xiao D.In the following,we will use these three apps as representatives to translate the full text of the four translation test materials in Japanese textbooks,and use the translation comparison method to compare them with the official reference translations,focusing on the analysis of the translation results of the vocabulary.List,compare and other methods to count the correctness of word translation,from which the translation quality of APP can be obtained.According to the statistical results,the typical problems of translation APP in Chinese-Japanese translation are summarized:mistranslation of Chinese-Japanese homographs,mistranslation of part of speech,mistranslation of word meaning,mistranslation of missing words,etc.After the translation problem is clarified,a comparative study is carried out based on the samples before and after the learners use the APP to analyze the positive and negative transfer effects of the translation APP on the vocabulary learning of Japanese Chinese learners,and on this basis,contact the learners’ actual writing process for example.Through the above research,we summarize the positive and negative effects of translation APP on learners’ vocabulary use.The positive effects include expanding vocabulary,exerting self-monitoring ability,improving vocabulary discrimination ability,and cultivating language difference consciousness;negative effects include learners’ generation Relying on psychology and misleading caused by improper translation.Finally,suggestions for the use of translation APP are put forward from the two aspects of learners and teachers.This paper is a research based on the status quo of the use of translation apps by second language learners.It is hoped that by analyzing the current translation app’s translation of Chinese and Japanese vocabulary to explore its impact,promote the improvement of translation apps,and provide for second language learners at the same time.The reference suggestions used make the translation APP a more effective learning tool to promote the teaching and learning of Chinese as a second language.
