| Chinese New Year is one of the most important traditional festivals in China and is an important part of Chinese culture dissemination overseas,as well as an important cultural teaching topic and cultural activity in Thai schools.This article investigates and analyses the cultural activities of the Chinese New Year in Thai schools from the perspective of cultural dissemination,and,together with case studies,identifies and summarises some of the problems in the dissemination of Chinese New Year culture in the form of activities,and proposes effective suggestions for the cultural activities of the Chinese New Year in Thai schools.The paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which describes the background,significance,review and methodology of the study.The second chapter provides a general overview of the spread of Chinese New Year culture in Thailand,starting with the background of historical interaction between the two countries,moving on to the introduction of Chinese New Year to Thailand,its spread and development in Thailand,and finally to the main groups and forces involved in its spread today.The third chapter presents a survey and analysis of Chinese New Year cultural activities in Thai schools.It includes two parts,a survey design and an analytical summary of the findings.The fourth chapter examines Chinese New Year cultural activities in Thai Chinese and international schools,with reference to Lasswell’s "5Ws" model of communication,and analyses the five aspects of planning,content,target audience,communication channels and implementation effectiveness.Chapter 5 uses the results of the questionnaire survey and the case studies to summarise the shortcomings of the Chinese New Year cultural activities in Thai schools.For example,there are few cultural knowledge activities,a lack of innovation in the content of the activities,neglect of feedback surveys of the audience groups,and a lack of cultural knowledge and awareness of cultural communication among the Chinese teacher volunteers.Inresponse to these problems,recommendations are made for the Chinese New Year cultural activities in Thai schools.Finally,the concluding section provides a summary overview of this thesis and the shortcomings of this research. |
