Address Terms Of Lao She’s Plays

The complete works of Lao She includes 42 plays.This paper attempts to sort out and classify a large number of address terms in Lao She’s plays,and then further analyzes their characteristics and influencing factors of usage.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which briefly describes the research situation,definition and classification of address terms,and then briefly describes the research content,methods and significance of this paper.The second part is the first chapter,which mainly describes the kinship terms in Lao She’s plays.This paper divides kinship terms into five categories: paternal kinship terms,maternal kinship terms,husband kinship terms,wife kinship terms and subordinate kinship terms.The third part is the second chapter,which analyzes the social appellation in Lao She’s plays.The social appellation is divided into nine types.The fourth part is the third chapter.On the basis of the previous classification and description,the characteristics of address terms in Lao She’s plays are summarized as follows: a large number and a wide range of references,the emergence of a large number of new address terms,the existence of synonyms with the phenomenon,and the prominent color of Beijing dialect.The fifth part is the fourth chapter.Starting from the politeness principle,it analyzes the factors that affect the usage of address terms in Lao She’s plays,including three criteria: "belittle oneself and respect others",equal difference criterion,and elegance criterion.The sixth part is the conclusion.
