A Study On The Banter Of The Characters In Botero’s Paintings

Since modern times,the pluralistic thought of art has brought about the continuous innovation of oil painting language.Due to the development of modern art and the influence of Oriental art and other factors,the emerging modern art has gradually formed various schools of modernism art,which is quite different from the classical realistic art.For artists,it is no longer limited to simple depiction of objective things such as imitation and reproduction,but more lies in the reflection of a mental image of the artist.Botero is such an artist.He deeply integrates the spirit of traditional European painting schools with the characteristics of modern art and returns to his native land.He reconstructs his own artistic language to create a playful style,which makes him a unique artist.In the process of discussion,based on relevant theories of art,iconology and psychological aesthetics,and combined with a large number of Botero’s works,this paper analyzes and studies the jocularity of characters in Botero’s paintings.The full text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter discusses the playful tongue in contemporary paintings,including the definition of playful tongue in contemporary paintings and the expression of playful tongue in contemporary paintings.The second chapter mainly analyzes and discusses the playful tongue characteristics of characters in Botero’s paintings combined with his works.It discusses the stylisation of characters’ faces,the deformation of shapes and the spatial expression,and analyzes the metaphorical nature behind the playful tongue images.The third chapter analyzes why Botero’s paintings present playful personalities.It mainly analyzes the unique and personalized artistic techniques of the region and its response to international pop art.The fourth chapter elaborates the value and significance of Botero’s jocose painting in contemporary painting and the inspiration and influence of the artist’s creative style and thought on the author’s oil painting.Botero’s painting thought is to integrate traditional techniques into the modern context,carry on the creative inheritance and development of traditional art,and create a painting language with modernity.His conflict fusion method has realized the contemporary conceptual expression of his painting art,and the study of his playful artistic creation is of positive inspiration for our future art learning.
