| High school entrance examination is an important part of China’s education,but also a direct reflection of quality education level.Through the high school entrance examination,it can test on students’ level of knowledge learning in junior high school,and provide a reference for the formulation of high school learning plan and the implementation of education strategy.With the deepening of education reform in China,basic English education has taken on new characteristics of development,especially in Chongqing,which has continuously optimized,reformed and innovated the real English test questions to improve the core English literacy of students in junior middle school students.On the whole,in Chongqing,the content of the test on grammar shows a downward trend,while the proportion of the test on English reading is increasing.Therefore,the proportion of the score of reading in the English test is increasing,but the corresponding items of single choice and other questions are relatively reduced.The increase in reading scores in the high school entrance examination has also prompted local education departments to make changes in English teaching,focusing on the cultivation and improvement of students’ reading skills.Therefore,this paper mainly takes Chongqing as an example to carry out A validity analysis on the content of English reading test in the middle school entrance examination,and mainly selects the content of English(paper A)in the middle school entrance examination from 2016 to2020.This study can not only provide reference for future proposition,but also explore and summarize experience and methods for English reading teaching practice in English reading,which has far-reaching significance for improving the efficiency of English reading teaching and cultivating students’ English reading literacy.This paper mainly includes the following parts: First,with regarding the content validity of English reading comprehension test in Chongqing High School Examination as the theme,this paper briefly discusses the research background,significance,purpose,framework,method and other contents of this paper;Secondly,through literature summary and other methods,the relevant research at home and abroad are discussed and analyzed,and the theoretical basis of this study is determined,focusing on elaborating the validity and other theories.Thirdly,empirical analysis,based on theoretical analysis,adopts the method of quantitative and qualitative unification to evaluate the validity of reading content in Chongqing 2016 to 2020 high school entrance examination English(paper A).It discusses specifically from seven aspects,such as vocabulary,subject matter and new word quantity,in order to grasp the overall characteristics and proposition trend.Finally,conclusion and prospect.This paper mainly summarizes the research conclusions of this paper,and puts forward constructive suggestions according to the problems found in the research.At the same time,it explains the shortcomings of this paper and puts forward the future research direction.The research conclusions of this paper mainly include the following points:Firstly,the reading comprehension content of the respondents is relatively consistent with the English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education issued by the education department,and there is no significant difference.However,there are still some deficiencies that need to be improved.Secondly,the English reading content of the respondents has significant characteristics in propositions,mainly manifesting as the limited number of new words,the difficulty is small,and the total amount of words in the article is appropriate.The subject matter is wide,the information is rich,which conforms to the student life;The details of the topic show a decreasing trend,and the distribution of subjects is unbalanced;Topics gradually increase,pay attention to the students’ deep meaning of reading control.Thirdly,this study can not only provide reference for the propositions,improve the validity of propositions in the future,but also provide reference for English teachers to innovate teaching methods and ideas in English reading.In addition,it is also conducive to cultivating students’ English reading strategies and achieving the overall improvement of their reading level. |
