Music is the product and tool of communication between people. The meaning of music lies in the communication relationship between creators, performers, and appreciators. In the teaching of piano music, whether students are performers, appreciators,or As the subject of emotional experience,we should not only pay attention to the learning of piano works, but also the emotional communication between students and musical works to stimulate their inner emotional power. This article selects two periods that pay special attention to emotions-the Baroque period and the Romantic period.Starting from the way of emotional expression, comparing the emotional expression characteristics of Baroque and Romantic music,it is found that Baroque emotion is an objective "atmospheric" emotion.,While the romantic sentiment is a kind of subjective self" feeling,Baroque focuses on expressing the emotion of music itself, while the romantic school focuses on expressing the individual’s own emotions. In Meyer’s emotional theory, referential affective experience is an emotional experience directly caused by music. It refers only to music itself,Non-referential Affective Experience which is a relatively objective emotional experience, while Referential Affective Experience is that music acts as an intermediary through connotation and imagination Referential affective experience evoked indirectly, which refers to things and concepts other than music,is a more subjective emotional experience.Based on the different emotional expressions of Baroque and Romanticism, this article combines the two core concepts of Non-referential Affective Experience and Referential Affective Experience in Mayer’s music emotion theory, and proposes the experience of Baroque music from the perspective of the viewer’s emotional experience.Focusing on the experience of non-reference emotions, the experience of romantic music should focus on the experience of reference emotions. After proposing a point of view, based on the principles and conditions for the generation of Non-referential Affective Experience and Referential Affective Experience,Taking "Prelude and Fugue in D minor" and "Nocturne in C minor" as examples, the Baroque and Romantic piano works are used to analyze Non-referential Affective Experience and Referential Affective Experience respectively. Finally, from the perspective of teaching, take "Fuge in D minor" and "Nocturne in C minor" as examples to construct Baroque and Romantic piano music emotional experience teaching cases, and propose that Baroque music should have Non-referential affective experience centered on "Music" Experience,Romantic music should have Referential affective experience centered on "I".Case studies are carried out from six aspects:context construction, theme condensing, theoretical analysis, detail selection, result presupposition, and theoretical evaluation.
