Research On Narration Of Zhou Meisen’s Historical Novels

Zhou Meisen is a well-known contemporary writer.He has rich experience and has been working in the field of novel creation since he entered the literary world.There are more than 30 novels.At the beginning of his creation,Zhou Meisen was fascinated by history and combined with his own experience in his youth to create a number of novels with history as the theme.Zhou Meisen’s historical novels have their own characteristics in narration and unique writing style.Based on the theory of narratology and combined with the novel text,this paper discusses the common narrative forms in Zhou Meisen’s historical novels.The change of perspective and the arrangement of time and space constitute the narrative paradigm of Zhou Meisen’s historical novels.In Zhou Meisen’s historical novels,the two perspectives of characters and narrators coexist,and the switching between perspectives is relatively flexible.On the one hand,the perspective switches back and forth between the character’s perspective and the narrator’s perspective;on the other hand,due to the expansion of the horizon,the perspective also changes,forming a multi-level perspective.The author frequently uses flashback and pre narration,which makes the reverse sequence in the novel normal.Zhou Meisen is also good at space assisted narration,forming three typical space images: ruins,closed space and street.As for the generation of the story,the narrator in Zhou Meisen’s novels has the attribute of intervention,which is mainly reflected in the narrator’s comments on the characters,events and philosophical comments in the text.Novels often revolve around catastrophic events and typical plots of struggle,and some of the chapters also reflect the writer’s attention to the female group in his writing.On the discourse level,Zhou Meisen’s historical novels rely on the injection of a large amount of historical information to give the novels a sense of authenticity and massiveness.The language of the novels has the characteristics of satire,humor and vernacular.In addition,the intertextual collage in Zhou Meisen’s historical novels has also become an important feature of the narrative form of the novels.The writer inserts poems,songs,Fu,notices and other texts into the novels,and endows them with the function of transition,so as to make the novels more in line with the historical reality.
